A brand new web application for the people of Lax Kw’alaams is launched today. The application is owned and contributed by Lax Kw’alaams band and its members, and fully-administered by the assigned administrators from the band.
The application is in its BETA stage, and acts as the interface for communication within the community and with the world. Visitors can learn all the latest happenings of this Tsimsian Nation of the Lax Kw’alaams band, its infrastructure, future plans and current business and trade information. The band-members can log in, using the secured interface to get resources, share information, networking, connect/re-connect, and access important documents in timely manners.
The idea and direction was conceived in the early 2009 during the Leadership of Chief John Helin and its council. It is a long term plan, and envisioned to build a solid I.T. Infrastructure for the generations to come. The plan also ensured that the people of Lax Kw’alaams are seen on the World Wide Web, and the community is found on today’s map. This is a blue-print for a strong community, and transparencies.
The contents are 100% contributed by the members and their activities. The artwork illustrations, such as Tsimshian Logo, Totem Pole Navigation, and color-theme, are illustrated by Mr. Bill Helin, a well known artist from the Gits’iis tribe in the village of Lax Kw’alaams, B.C.
Much more complete-information will be updated every day. And expected to bring out of the BETA towards the end of the year, 2010.

REMINDER OF THE IDENITFICATION REQUIREMENTS AS OUTLINED IN THE STATUS CARD POLICY??
if an IRA does not follow the status card policy and requires the applicant to provide them with at least two accpetable pieces of identification, he or she may lose their authority to issue status cards if it comes to our attention that an IRA is issuing status cards to individuals who are only presenting one piece of valid ID or no ID at all, well will have no choice but to remove thier authority to issue status cards.
Please share this policy bulletin with your chief&council, immediate supervisor and members of your band so that they realize and understan that thses are INAC's ID requirements and not something you have just made up to frustrate them.
We recognise that your strict adherence to the ID requirements contained in the status card policy could result in many of your clients becoming angry and frustrated. We greatly appreciate your efforts to ensure that security and integrity of the indian registry system is maintained at all times. Remember security is everyone's business.
Thanks and best wishes,Bob.INAC
